Startup Weekend Memphis to energize local entrepreneurs

Four years ago, local business coach Michael Synk participated in the inaugural Startup Weekend Memphis, eventually morphing his concept of creating gear for Ultimate Frisbee players into a company to create software tools that would unite those like-minded sports enthusiasts on Facebook.

The company never took flight.

But the lessons Synk learned from the experience strengthened his confidence as a would-be entrepreneur, and he’s optimistic that the same experience awaits those who’ll take part in next month’s rebooted version of the 54-hour Startup Weekend. Read More…
